A prompt is the text instruction you give a generative AI model to describe the image or video you want it to produce.

How it works

When you submit a prompt, the model converts your words into a numerical representation it can understand, then uses that representation to guide generation. Every detail you include — subject, setting, art style, lighting, mood, camera angle, color palette — shifts the output toward your intent. Anything you leave out, the model fills in on its own, drawing on patterns it learned during training.

A strong prompt usually layers a few elements: a clear subject ("a red fox"), context ("sitting in a snowy pine forest"), a style or medium ("cinematic photograph"), and technical cues ("golden-hour light, shallow depth of field"). The order and weight of these words can change the result, which is why refining a prompt across a few generations is a normal part of the workflow.

Why it matters

The prompt is the single biggest lever you have over an AI image. Two people using the same model can get wildly different results purely from how they phrase their request. Learning to prompt well — being specific, naming styles, and using negative prompts to exclude unwanted artifacts — is the difference between generic output and exactly the picture you pictured. This skill is often called prompt engineering.

In eaxy

In eaxy, the prompt is where every creation starts. You type what you want, optionally pick from 30+ style packs to lock in a look, and the model generates in seconds. Multilingual prompting means you can describe your idea in your own language, then animate the result into motion with Kling 3.

Frequently asked questions

What is a prompt in AI image generation?+

It is the text you type to describe what you want — the subject, style, lighting, and composition. The model reads it and generates an image to match.

What makes a good prompt?+

Specificity. Name the subject, the setting, the style or medium, the lighting, and the camera angle. Vague prompts leave the model to guess; precise prompts get closer to your intent.

Can I write prompts in other languages?+

Yes. Many modern tools, including eaxy, support multilingual prompting, so you can describe what you want in your own language.

What is the difference between a prompt and a negative prompt?+

A prompt says what you want in the image. A negative prompt lists what you want to keep out, such as blur, extra fingers, or text artifacts.
